I need all your help. I have a 1997 Z24 with a 2.4 manual transmission. The ignition switch and instrument cluster is gone out of the car. I bought the car this way. The car is being tunred into a race car with a push button start. The anti-theft system will not allow the car to start for obvious reasons. Can the system be deleted with a tune in order for the car to run. And if so is anyone willing to help me with doing it.

we just had that problem to the anit theft kicked in we let cranked it over left thekey on for 20 minutes or so let the computer reset itsself and should start after leavin key on youll prolly need battery charger..

HPTuners To disable VATS you must do the following:

1. Set the VATS value to "PWM"
2. Set DTC P1626 to "3 - No Error Reported"
3. Set DTC P1629 to "3 - No Error Reported"
