full throttle: normal and hot?

ok i am no tuning expert, i am actually probably below average. i am having some troubles figuring out a few tables and why they are even there.

under my transmission tab and under auto shift speed there are two seperate sections in question i am wondering about...

"full throttle shift speed "normal" and "hot" then "full throttle shift RPM "normal" and "hot".

why in the hell are there two full throttle tables? i guess i just dont understand. the way i see it is if the car is under WOT its 'hot' or whatever. @!#$ i dont know.

please help me!

I must confess... I feel like a monster!

So are you asking about the normal and hot? Or the the Shift speed and Shift RPM?

'hot' refers to the temperature of the trans fluid as read by the trans sump thermistor (somewhere in the range of 125C to 132C). the hot pattern applies the TCC more aggressively and downshifts at lower throttle angle - it does this to help cool the trans. sometimes additional patterns are labeled for one thing but operate as another. a table labeled 'performance' may be used for 2nd gear start, for example. it's just a table that is user selectable - a pin on the ECU is grounded by a switch is labeled 'X'.
