I am still a tuning noob, but Def get the pro version... the standard does not support wideband. I have the LC1 and pro Hp tuners myself.... trust me... theres a lot to learn, DO NOT tune without a wideband!!!! And if youre not comfortable working with car electronics, i.e. tapping into a 12volt source and soldering... etc... id suggest having that wideband installed professionally...I've had it 6 months now and still am not sure of myself when if comes to VE tuning. With your current mods, don't expect to see a night and day difference... I did not till I installed stage 1 comp cams. I had a 4-2-1 header, weapon r intake, 2.25 catback. and magnaflow highflow cat.... i maybe saw 5 to 10 hp increase with flywheel HP... with gas mileage suffering... if you are thinking about forced induction... installing cams.... or p & p that head... get hp tuners, if not... id spend the money elsewhere, thats just my opinion on that based on my experience per cost... look into http://www.thetuningschool.com/ for tuning help... plus there are numerous books out there on EFI tuning...

i will do a turbo in the next six months maybe even a saab turbo kit. i am not looking for a big peek hp gain anyway i just want to raise the rev limiter to 7grand as well as top speed and firn tune the car so at wot the power is better in the lower to mid rpm to help the thing out of corners autoxing.

i hope i didnt go over board lol. i have a son that will be driving in 2 years and i think i will really like hpt to keep his top speed down to 75 lol boy he will hate me for that.

The LC-1 does not have to be perminate. Do not have to have a gauge (unless you want one). I have mine only on the car when I want it and hooked directly to HPT.

Something better than hp tuners would be a stand alone, other than that I'm not sure what your talking about?

what i ment to say is i dont want a stand alone for this car it is my double duty car as of right now. i don't plan to get to crazy with it. but i think i will be buying a g8gt very soon for the wife also hpt works well for that to.

If you are not logging it in HPT or another tuning program not much reason to log it.
