Commanded AFR changes on me...

By the way, Im not an HPTuner pro, my buddy is. But we cant figure this problem out. I got the M45 on my 98 LD9 and it was tuned pretty damn good a few days ago. AFR commanded 11.7- 11.9 across the board at WOT.

One day I got on it and noticed it being in the low 10s. Sometimes went down to high 9s. Now obviously a computer cant forget so what the hell? Almost everything under the hood is new. And nothing has changed in any other driving conditions.

Hooked up the labtop today, my buddy got the car to run 11.5 when it was commanded 11.5 so thats good. The next 2 runs, the AFR was commanded 10.00 and thats why it hung in the low 10s and high 9s... WHY? All of a sudden its like "Ehhh were commanding 10 F**k you."

Cant figure it out. Timing didnt change, no KR, checked all the tables, wideband was reading correctly, MAP was maxed so thats definately working. Which brings me to my next question. Theoretically, what would happen if a 2bar was plugged into a pre 99 model LD9? Just curious. I have no idea of the result.

What was engine temps, IAT temps in all of these runs.

If you plug a 2 bar map into your 99 car, it will throw everything off. When you are at full boost you are going to get way different readings. I tuned a 99 Z24 with the GM charger. We kept the stock 1 bar map it was easier. Also gives more resolution for normal driving. To explain slightly more. Both sensor's (1 bar and 2 bar) are 5 volts sensors. Thing different is 2 volts for the 1 bar means one thing and 2 volts for the 2 bar means something different (less). Since your 99 ECU in stock form can't read boost, it will always be on the same page with the 1 bar sensor. Hope this helps.

Engine temp was at normal, IAT was around 160-170 degrees. We checked that to see if it got anywhere crazy that it pulled timing or anything. And that was a big negative.

Ok so I gathered to live with the 1bar MAP. My tuner suggested it but I was almost sure it wouldnt work.

I'll see if I can get him to take a pic or whatever of the tune. What pages/pics/tables do you guys specifically need to see?

Am I reading this correctly, your intake temp was 160-170 degrees?? is that Fahrenheit?

Yes fahrenheit. M45 runs very hot. Not intercooled. So all that compressed air gets crazy. Yeah it sucks.

Got crazy with my Daytona this weekend. Next weekend I will get the logs from my buddy.

Ok well whats the best way to "post" a log? Do I email it to somebody? In what format?

Or should it just be posted on HPTuners.com, assuming anyone that responds to help with this has an account on there...

I will be at my buddies tomorrow and we'llbe ready, just not sure how you go about posting a log lol.
