raising idle RPM

alright..so..

to raise my idle speed... i need to find someone in my area with hp tuners(or some similar program)... as well as some chip/something else to allow me to tune my car??

or can i just take my ride to a shop and have someone tune it for me with nothing else needed to be installed?

..all i have done performance-wise is the engine mounts. might get a cool-air intake sometime in the future but i think that's about it. if i can't find someone to tune my ride i guess i'll just be putting the TTR lower engine mount for sale and installing a factory one. i love the car's performance with the TTR set.. but i need less vibes..

thanks for all the help

Depending on how well-connected you are, you might find paying for a "tune" just to change the idle speed might be cost prohibitive.

In the case of HP Tuners, nothing is physically changed or added to the car. It is a reprogramming of the stock equipment. The cost comes from the "credits" that whoever does the tune will need to purchase in order to interface with your car. Plus their time, of course, with is extremely little in the case of an RPM change.

personally i think everyone that complains about harsh vibes has the solid upper. I just have th epoly insert and the vibes are very slight, and thats only at idle. try the insert, i think youll find the vibes better(its only like $17 dollars)

I have the TTR aluminum lower, and the upper insert. That was enough to make my dash dance.

i dk...

i'm changing the lower mount back to stock and keeping the upper TTR mount.. when i had that set up, the vibrations were minimal and still felt some increased power..

TTR lower mount is up for sale by the way...
check the classifieds..

So that answers my question as to why my car started to get a mean case of the shakes when I put the new mounts on it! I hate the shakes!
