Sobrief overview i have a 99 2200 cavy t3 super 60 set at 6 psi. running rc 310cc injectors, cartech fmu and stock fuel pump (yeah yeah i already know bad idea) thats why i havent put it on the road just wanted to get it to idle right.
i bought hp tuners about 2 weeks ago been reading up on it for the last two months while i was bored out of my mind in iraq.
so i get it copy the stock tune and save it
then decide i will do i quick little drive just to see the log
after that i simply changed the speed limiter and flashed it and bame the car would crank but not start. tried it again still nothing
tried reflashing entire vcm back to stock................ nothing samething
went to hp tuners forums read every single "my car wont start topic" and still nothing
bought a new vcm and had it flashed to my vin by a dealership.............. nothing samething
both stock tunes look pretty much the extact same.
pulled the fuel rail all the injectors work fine
pulled the plugs soaked in gas tested the plugs all had spark.
theft lock isnt flashing on steady i cant remember if thats what it always did or not
any ideas????? because im clueless
Hmm did you check the starter bypass chip under the dash? I know ive accidentally knocked it out of place when hooking up HPT to the OBD port and its given me quite the scare.

FU Tuning
On my 99 2200 there's a theft deterrent, that came with the car when I bought it, which is basically a small portable chip you take out if your worried about your car getting jacked, it breaks the circuit and prevents your starter from getting power, so your car wont turn over. Am I to assume by your reaction this wasn't a stock feature? I always thought it was, but admittedly, Ive never ridden in another Cav of the same make and model...actually Ive never ridden in another cav period lol.
I hate reading other peoples problems makes me feel all my car probs over agian.Did you turned the fuel pressure down to about 30 35 with those injectors. With hp tuners flash in your correct injector constant. Try turning fuel pressure up and down.
well the car cranks just fine. diffently no problems there
turn the fuel pressure down nothing.
like i said everything sames to be working fine its just not starting.
maybe the coil packs and not gettin enough spark
ok so check this out, haha
i went out bought new coils, plug wires and plugs. replaced them and bam it worked.
but just so i knew extactly what it was i started replacing everything back on.
AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
