I have read that the Ecotec does not go into PE mode until 4400RPM or so. Is that the highest anyone has seen? I got to play with HPT for the first time today and the car was a Ecotec. It was set at 6200RPM. I thought that was really high. We lowered it to 3000RPM, and raised the speed limiter to 120mph.

Funnt thing is this was a 04 set-up. It was a car we did a Ecotec swap almost 2 years ago. I was sooo shocked to see it so high.

John Higgins, did you manage to get the car to keep a steady AFR while under WOT?
both my 04's were set to 6200RPM
both are now set to 0 rpm
My 04 was set at 6200RPM. I thought the 02s were set around 3000 or so.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

We did not tuning (besides changing the PE RPM). We did not have a wideband and was not on a dyno so I wold not attempt to change any true tuning fields. I was really suprised it was soo high.

Yup, my 04 PCM was set at 6200, and my moms (yea i spent the credits so i can play with my moms PCM... My car isnt back together so i gotta use my new toy on something!) Well her sunfire is an 03 and had it at 6200RPMS.
Needless to say i changed it to 0 on her car, raised line pres. to 96, definetly feels stronger off the line
