Im just getting ready too tune my car for some dirt traack racing. I heard once you get over 7,000 rpm's the block starts flexing?
The only thing I rerally have on the bottom end is a good 2.3L oil pump. And this wont help if the block starts flexing? So my question is how many Rpm's can I run and be living on the edge????? Eagle Rods/weisco pistons, 2.3L oil pump
I know for a fact that 7000rpm can be done for short periods on a completly stock internals 2.4. I have done it.

Yeah, valvetrain is going to be your problem before the block is....take a gander in the performance forum, and there are lots of threads about mods being done to achieve higher reving safer, and what thier results were. What all "tuning" were you looking to do with this??
it can handle a lot more then any cam's you will get for it will make power at.

pretty much just dump some more fuel into it, maybe rev it out 7,000 rpms try too get some more power out of it. im going from racing a 1/2 mile to a little 3/8 mile cant keep up with the dodges/ 2.2 ecotechs?? any suggestions might help/if anybody has a adjustable timing gear would be interested thanks
LD2 cams will help the most.
get a melling oil pump, and run Mobil-1 15W50, with the 1992 LD2 cams, you should be able to make 160-170 wheel.
(with tuning.)

intake= 95 "Secret Cams"
exhaust= 90 - 94
7K should be no problem.
