K guys, what's up, is this a hpt issue or something. I have never had a problem reading ANY other vehicle I've ever tried, but the other night I try to read a 99 Z and no such luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.

was it getting power from the obd port?
was this on the same computer that you have succesfully read otehr cars with?
What error messages did it give you?
if your getting power to the port and the HPT cable is turning on, then your best bet would be to get a log and send it to HPT themselves. dont mean to sound like a dick, but we need more info.

Yeah everything was the same, and I didn't even think about the power to the OBDII, I'll check that and let you guys know when I get to the bottom of it, thanks.
Error message was unable to connect to vehicle, I forgot the whole message, it was just an odd occurance that I've never seen.

The cable will turn on when it's connected to my pc, the power light comes on whenever I plug into the USB on my pc, so I don't know if there was power to the OBDII port, I guess to check that I could plug the HPT cable into the car w/o being plugged into the pc and see if it comes on that way.
Once again thanks guys.
