Another timing question

The Ho(PE) and the LO(PE) those are the tables you change for timing correct. What is a average about of timing under 100 and 105 kpa that everyone is running. Does 11 seem low?

depends on if you're boosted or not

for being intercooled 11 degrees does seem pretty low.

What turbo are you running?

Its the 16 G. What should i bump it up to?

you never want to just "bump" up timing. Use your histograms in Hpt, monitor your Kr and work from there.

Best bet would be to Copy your Stock, (if you don't have your stock timing tables jack a table from a tune in the repository at Hpt's site) high octane spark table into your low octane spark table First.

Drive the car with the current spark tables and pull timing as necessary. Just if your at WOT and kr starts climbing don't stay in the pull.

Stop follow the histograms remove whatever timing hpt called for. Continue. Personally I prefer less than a degree of kr at wot, some may argue and say over 1 is acceptable. My car is my daily driver and I don't know about some people but I'd rather be safe than sorry later on.

HOw do i know if i have knock. Load the scanner and click scan while driving? the red line represents knock right? Is that it and if i have some take away timing. I dont have my laptop with me right now and i can't remember but in the spark colum i have 4 tables. Can't remember what there called. Which one or ones do i change. Thanks so much for your help

wow... Not to sound like a parent or anything but you really shouldn't have been boosting a car if you didn't have someone to either help you tune or know how to tune. I can help but its only so much help you can do over the web.

It isn't knock necessarily, you should have a gauge that has a degree symbol at the top. That is knock retard, that is how much timing the car had to pull to prevent/stop detonation.
The tables that you are mostly concerned with should be the two tables that have (PE) after them.

If you don't have the histograms set up go to hpts site and they have pre made histograms.

I hope you have a wideband atleast.....
