ok so heres my deal

so i have decided that I am going to do a father son bonding project by buying a 95-99 z24 with a blown motor and putting in a newer 2.4 with him. After this is said and done my overall goal is going to be to buy the supercharger kit for like $1500 bucks and be set. But the only thing i am worried about is this whole flashing thing with the vin #'s and everything. I am one of those people that will not do something if I cannot fully understand it. So if there is anyone that has done this before send me a pm or something because i need all the help i can get. or maybe i can just send the ecm out to one of you guys and you flash this thing. I just dont want to invest all this time and money and not be able to do it because i really want my boost.!

Thank you all so much for any help i do recieve i appreciate it.

If you want to use the supercharger flash, I would get a 00+ so you don't have to swap ALL the wiring out, BCM, cluster, dash, etc.

Otherwise you're stuck using an FMU and properly sized injectors (you can't use the one's in the kit with the 95-99 unless its a 99).

Here's a question as well (sorry to thread jack), but im getting the S/C for my 99 Z, and i was wondering how i can keep it from running lean with the extra air being forced in? AFPR? the injectors from the kit? Emanage? HPtuners?

^ HPT Can do it if you know how to tune. AFPR won't, you'll need an FMU (also called a RRFPR). Since you have a 99 you can use the injectors that come with the kit. but if you had a 98 or below then you would need to find some low impedance 320ish CC injectors like the Ford "BrownTops" (370cc).

E-Manage is a useful tool, but requires the knowledge (and courage) to rewire your fuel system, then start from scratch on your fuel programming. Just getting the car to run will be a challenge.
