There are a few people who can do it. send a PM to wrench monkey to Skunk or Wrench Monkey. Skunk is in the Rockford area. and Wrench Monkey is just across into Wisconsin. But you cant tune the GM reflash. you need an unflashed ECU, GM locks out the tune when they reflash.

I thought the reflash was a good base to work off of with hp tuners? I have an unflashed ecu if need be but I thought that wasn't necessary. Please help and thankyou Vince

i have hpt, im in minnesota right now tho and yes the 00-02 2.4 s/c tune is a great base to start with, and is very tuneable with hpt. hpt hasnt and will not crack the eco s/c tune, but the 2.4 one is what id use for anyone boosted.

Gary I am in New Lenox Illinois about a half hour north of you. When do you expect to be back in the area? I would love to hook up and see your cars . I see your post often and had no idea you lived right by me maybe between the two of us we can get this beast tuned. ....

ya idk when ill be down that way, i might be movin back down there sometime soon for college. i know where new lenox is i have cousins that live there, ive been there many times.

what are you lookin to do, are you just lookin to do a street tune, or are u planning to go to a dyno and playin with it? i just got my hptuners back from the guy that was borrowing it and he used all my credits so ill be having to buy some more soon with the money he owes me.

and as for what u want to get done

1. will take 2 seconds
2. same as one, its simple, and im sure ur number one fix will also help with the car idleing even at stock rpm
3. easy
4. still learning, but helped tune 17 psi on a built grand am 2.4
4. never touched this stuff but shouldnt be horrible
5. easy

Easy Vince lol ,I appreciate your advise man, I am just gathering info. My car isn't even ready yet but will be in a couple weeks. I will look into Wrench Monkey and if he has the time. I am trying to avoid going to Wisconsin if I can just find someone local. Steve thanks man, I thought you lived in bourbonaise and were just at school or something. PhilioZ24 has hpt also out here but getting ahold of him is like Borat gettin some off Pamela Anderson in other words the chances are slim haha.

he comes down to rockford a lot and isnt afraid to meet someone to tune. he knows his stuff. and he isnt far into wisconsin anyway. im telling you, PM him, you wont regret it... IMO probably one of the best tuners here.

Hey Tom thankyou for chiming in thats awesome. I am thinking by the end of the month I would have everything in order. I haven't had the car on the road in two years since reworking my whole turbo setup. I need to finish up some final things and also need to plate it. I will be in touch with you next week sometime to set up a exact idea on what we are going to do and how much you want etc...... Thankyou for helping first of all and I have heard alot of good things not only from these guys but alot of other good people too. Talk to you soon Tom .

WOW how'd I miss out on this one, lol, yeah the Monkey is deff your best bet for an LD9 tune, if it were eco you were after then we'd be talkin business lol. jk.

And tom, how dare you not tell me about this. Planning a trip to IL and not mentioning it to me, ugh, I'm disappointed lol.

Man Curtis that is one sick A ss ecotron . Maybe I can meet him in rockford and plan a kinda meet or something for the local J body guys. Tom I am running a Turbonetics T3/T04E .63 Stage 2 Turbine trim with a T4 big shaft 50 trim Compressor. on a Tial 38 gate with a base spring of 7 psi . I have a greddy profec B spec II boost controller to up that to a safe level without snapping the rods. I am guessing about 11 to 12 psi putting me at the limit .

We could tune for up to 15 but that would be more of a safety net in case of a boost spike.

Re: Chicagoland HP Tuner?

Yeah I figure that was the limit with the gm two bar that I am running. I can't wait. I am so excited and can't wait to feel the added power. I ran my old setup which you guys might remember a couple years ago with a t3 super 60 internally gated. That was good for a 14.0 on only 5 to 6 psi and could never get it up to the level I wanted. I can imagine how much more power I am going to have with the external gate and bigger turbo. I have a complete wrecked 00 Z24 for doner parts and motor if and when I blow up this one. lol

Looks like ANOTHER meeting/tuning session out by my place huh Tom. Seeing as you love the roads out here so much for tuning. Plus I wanna learn a lil bit about the LD9 tuning and the open loop setting that we talked about the other night.

Luke you're turbo is only slightly smaller than mine lol.
