So I am looking a purchasing a Toyota Cavalier, probably a 97 or 98 model, and I was wondering if Hp-tuners would be able to work on the car? I haven't had a chance to get under the dash of one yet to see if it has an OBD-2 port, but I was wondering if someone might have an idea about it.
as far as i know, the only thing that changed was the badges. everything else including engine and ECU should be the same, meaning that it should be supported. you can try and contact HP Tuners and ask them if it is supported. you may need the VIN in order for them to check.

that is what I am hoping for. When I get some more info (VIN) I will shoot them an email and see what they say. Will be interesting to see what the tune looks like on a cav, considering the higher octane gas available here.
