JUST KIDDING!!
Man, I've been gone for so long its nice to see an entire forum dedicated to it now. Sure is different from the days when we were just trying to figure out not only how to flash through the OBDII port, but the actual code itself. Unfortunately I had racing obligations, then a new business to run - so I missed all the fun.
So all those times I promised you that Keith and others were working on JBO stuff paid off!! Just sorry I left in the middle.
I still have both my Cavy's and we are currently running the #16 ARCA car of Justin Allgaier, The #1 Super Sprint I always ran, and a mini-sprint
Hopefully I remember about this place and post more. Daves 100 post limit chased me away...

Good to see you again Robo! I was thinkin the other day where the hell you went...
Yup, HPT came through for us just like you said. Unfortunately we get an inch, we want a mile. We need 3bar tuning and we can't get it from HPT, and we can't get 2.2 S/C support with HPT (more GM's fault than HPT's). So I'm venturing into my own ECU (see the thread "Coming Soon").
Anyway, hope to see you post more. Premium memberships are much cheaper now (like $2 a month), and it gets you all the porn you can stand in AG

Was hoping you was still here!
I umm.. cheated? There were no rules for electronic FI systems on the MARA midgets. We ran 2 of Tony Stewarts cars and kicked arse with electronics (carbon fiber helped too).
The next year the series folded. We are now helping Kenny at Maco and Tony at Eldora. My biz lost its ARCA sponsorship so now we are trying to get either a track/race sponsorship or get a car in the Hooters/USAC/Outlaw Late Model series. We can't afford a quarter panel sponsorship on Justin

^ He ain't kidding. He searched through the intarweb to find my phone number, called it pretending to be the FBI, and with no shaking of his voice, pulled off this joke for a good 10 minutes. That was the day I had my first heart attack.

ahh.. the good ol' daze!
Wanna hear something funny? I pull that 'hidden' text stuff on a computer forum and half of them can't figure out how I did it..
I have been building very basic FI systems and I'm going to try a different way this winter using a PC based setup and a custom built controller/interface card. The same setup I use to control my telescope will work with injectors too, but I need to add some A/D circuits for sensor inputs. I still mess around with the OBDI systems though. Can't give up on all the fun!

You're the reason I highlight most of the posts I read with large, blank spaces.
What's up Chris (RoboGeek, I hope I remembered your name
), long time no see or hear.
Yeah I'm still kicking the Cavy scene too and daily driving a Toyota of all things.
It's so good to hear from you and that you've posted once more.
Geez, as little as I venture the JBO, it's ironic how when I do, I either come away with information or see an old friend on the forums.
I remeber for years you all were trying to crack the code to tuning the ECU's of the J-bodies.
HPTuners finally got it.
MS finally got it.
But anyway, good to see you still kicking in the car scene and that you're still active in what you love.

I don't work in the electronics store anymore, I decided to work for a top 50 company and change careers.
But I still have old ties with my old job and can still get you what you need.
I'll PM you when I've got the time to do so.
It should be a couple of days for sure.
I'll find out what you need on some catalogs and send them your way.
Glad to see you.
I'll check out the interview later as well. PM you later.

wow robogeek i never knew you where so close, but after seeing justin allgaier's name i figured you have been around the stl area, my dad races super late models and my little bro is going to be running crate late models next year, where all do you race at?
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
Yup.. just north of spfld. We run farmer city, macon, fairbury, jacksonville, springfield mile, spoon river and this next year I'll be hanging at a PAVEMENT track.. yuk!!
And of course wherever the series goes.. but owning a business restrict my travel. I might be running a mustang in the hornet series around here next year if the wife will let me. The car is awesome - just no driver! Its a shame to see a car just sit...
