Difference between auto and manual wiring harness?
Thursday, October 04, 2007 4:31 PM
Alright, long story short, I have to replace my wiring harness with an auto harness in my 2K z24. How big are the differences on the transmission side? Is the VSS and reverse light hookup the same? Is anything else going to be different?

O noes!

auto will have wiring for the neutral safety switch which u will have to re-wire to ur clutch safety wires, or twist together therefor u have no clutch safety.

Are they in the same pinout locations on the ECM? Or will I have to move them?

um i dont think there is any difference there, the auto pcm will plug into a manual harness, as well as manual pcm into an auto harness, it will be the same im guessing cuz all it is, is the starter cut off, either ur an auto and have to be in park or neutral for the circuit to be complete or u have a manual and have to have the clutch pressed to the floor to have it complete.
