Anybody knows the times for a s/c regal? I'd like to know if they are worth buying. I had a 92 regal 3800 but sold it. 106K miles on it and still ran fine.

Regal w/ the SC3800 will run low 15's bone stock...
newer GS with a 3.8 series II supercharged? quarter miles are in the mid to upper 14's stock, maybe low 15's if you've got a hurt one. 0-60 is usually lower 6 sec. range. helluva car. I own a GTP, pontiacs version, and love it. pleanty of power, pleanty of upgrade potential, and it'll last forever. mine's got 107K on the ticker, and it's still goin. being a buick, it'll ride better than my Grand Prix, too.
cliff notes: yes, well worth buying

it's not how fast you go, it's how you get there that counts.
ZZP XP cam, 1.6 rockers, 105# springs, speedbuilt FWI, 3.3" modular pulley, TOG headers,
3" exhaust, flomatched injectors
'97 GTP 14.06@100.6mph pre cam w/ 3.5" pulley, I/E

ah, beat me to it! and i guess they're a little slower than GTP's, then.

They've got a more restrictive PCM on 'em. Same goes for the Bonneville...
The regal and GTP SC 3800 are what led me to my current car(87 Regal T-Type). They are awesome machines. Very nice cars. Maybe GM will bring back a turbo version one day
I don't need no stinking SIG. Wait this is one.
DOH!

and the bonnie is a heavy mother, too. nothin a little computer tuning wont fix, though. right?
all the same, yeah, well worth it. you wont regret your decision unless you happen to be looking for a rwd v8. then buying a fwd v6 isnt what you want to do.

your regal t type 3.8 turbo engine has nothig in common with a 3800.

yeah, not a single part is shared between the two engines... other than maybe a bolt or two. the LC2 (Grand National engine) and the L67/L36/L32 (modern W-bodies) are different engine families altogether. Actually, i believe the LC2 is even a 90* V as opposed to the L67's 60* V. makes the L67 idle smoother and able to create more HP. if you meant it led you to you buying your T-type by it's basic idea, though; slap a tame 6cyl into a grandpa car and force feed it, then that makes sense.

3.8Lv6 new and old, turbo or SCed were always 90 degree v8's, your proabably thinking of the 2.8-3.4Lv6's which are/were 60 degree v6's.
its only worth buying if you give it to me
other cars, better cars?
My buddy has one...with 212000kms..still runs awesome...wait..his driver side seat heater doesn't work anymore...haha youll love it...Regal GS-thumbs up-
ive seen regals run high 14's , a friends ssei series 1 bonnie runs low 15's stock

I like my w-body. A great daily driver with much potential for speed.
It sure feels like a big car in low speed tight corners.
Highway speed sweepers are neutral and comfortable.
I might not get another. Not because it's a bad car. Just for a change.
I always thought the Regal was a tasteful looking car. A good sleeper.
^^^^ 14.699 stock
Running a 13.9 right now with $300 worth of mods. Worth it? Very!
Worth seeing peoples faces when you whoop their ass with a 4-door Buick with 2 babyseats in the back? You better f*ckin beleive it! Get it dude you won't regret it!

108000 miles and would not trade it for anything.........good in the snow also.
the number one thing holding the car back is the pcm, mainly the trac control.
In the Grand Prix when you turn it off it is off. In the Regal when you turn it off it works till you hit 3800 or 4000 rpms, i cant remember. the bonny is even worse 2500 i think.
Check out regalgs.org great place better than a few others.
