I'm a big ford fan as well. I own an 01 z24, but find nothing wrong with the v8 mustangs (and I've owned 2). By all means, flame away if that's what gets you off. Spouting crap like that only makes you and other cavy/SHO owners look bad.

I may be mistaken, but weren't the early 90s 300zxs faster in the 1/4 with an auto tranny? I read it in car and driver years ago, but can't find any links. It's really rare for autos to be quicker than sticks, but it happens.

^^^^^ ive never heard of that, when i was 16-18, i use3d to reaqd car and river every month, and memorized damn near every car's 0-60 time, and i always remember the auto times being .5 or so slower. but you are right, anything is possible...like the srt-4 getting more whp than flywheel hp...i though that was impossible, but it happened (read it in scc).

the 05 auto gtos are supposed to be faster than the sixspeeds by .1seconds

Wrong. I was in a 6spd 04 GTO (LS1) that setup a race with an auto 05 GTO (LS2). They came outta the hole with the auto slightly ahead, by 70 mph the 6spd was already pulling away. By 110 the auto was back 2-3 cars.

Hmm, maybe you're half retarded, I'm not sure... Because the auto 05 was quicker out of the hole, and the 6spd 04 walked right by him... The carpet musta been bunched up under the gas pedal or something

most of them run mid to low 14s because they are not pro drivers, with a pro driver it will def run low 13s.

Hmm, the only time I have heard of Auto's being faster than Stick is mainly boosted cars like the Supra.. Auto's can prevent the vehicle from falling out of boost in certain cases... Don't remember where I caught this info so correct me if I am wrong.. But its making sense to me..
