I may be getting one of these soon and i am looking to make it faster, i don't know where to look for parts and stuff. Can you kind people direct me towards some good online shops where i can get parts. And maybe some forums i can look at too please?
I am looking at making this car all go since the cavy is kitted and painted. I am getting the car for very little, he is possibly giving it to me... and i think it will be a fun project.

Where can't you find parts for 5.0s? I think even Autozone has performance parts.

yeah my first stang was a V6...but it was vortech supercharged lol
and did F-bodies always outperform mustangs....more then likely yes, but mostly because they had more displacement. I like my mustang over a camaro for numerous reasons...more comfortable, more relaxed cockpit. camaros are slick lookin, but suck for long road trips and have a low roof line. lower then a mustang anyway. but income vs. production costs was not all that great so they had to kill it.
and yes, big block power rules. id give up my mustang for a 70 chevelle ss any day. i kinda like them souped up 396ss's with that slick cowl induction hood. drool.

yeah well some refined machinery. very small engine bays, tough to work on, and as I recall on horsepower tv when they pulled their ls1 out of their 98 or 99 ss, they seemed to have to remove the entire front end and lifted the car up over the engine. the engine came out with the front stub and everythin. sounds real easy to do!
the more "refined" something is, with the more engineering gone into it to make it that much better, the harder it is to work on. Good example: whats easier to work on, your mid 70's sbc chevy, or that new toyota prius hybrid with like 200 volt power lines all over the place?
i love old school cars, big @!#$in fan. and im not saying the camaro is retarded because it ceased production, all im sayin is, something must have been wrong. lack of sales, high production costs, whatever.
retro styling is not necessarily crappy, everyone likes what they like. whatever floats ur boat.
and I think the new mustangs are great. 305hp gt that rides smoother then ever before for like 27 grand msrp. if i had the spare scratch layin around, id pick one up.
