Don't knock the Countach, that was my dream car as a kid. I had a poster of a black one exactly like that on my wall through most of my childhood. I still think it would be awesome to own one. I mean, there are tons of cars today that are better than a countach in every way but owning one would be like a childhood fanatasy come true for me.

The countach is a fantastic car.. I can't believe people who mostly own J-bodies would knock a V12 that puts out 450HP. A car so well built.. Truly a dream car.

What next, someone gonna tell me that the Pantera isn't a cool car too.. Well, there's no accounting for taste.

Sure there are better supercars available today, but that car is a classic.. It was the car to beat for years. That's like saying 60's muscle cars suck because todays cars are better.. Well sure, todays cars are technicly better cars, they are not going to replace the cool old cars.. 57 and 58 Belle Aires are totally out of date too, but they are still great cars.

at least with the countach, you don't have a bunch of computers telling you what you can and can't do when you are pushing the limits of the car...

i'd take a countach in a heart beat. that and a testarossa were my dream cars as a kid...

I was always a Porsche 930 fan myself.. But, the Countache was cool definitely. In the age of 200 HP Mustangs and Camaro's, that was just plain amazing. White suit with the arms rolled up, and a neon pink shirt on underneath... Come to daddy.

If you don't like the angular theme, that's your taste, but it serves the purpose: it's more aerodynamically efficient to have sharp angles than curves to drag over.

James: did you know of a mass-produced street-legal V8 that was available in 1987 that could do that from the factory??
