well, the car has a salvage title. so whoever owned it before this guy knew it wasn't gonna be worth anything. so why not make it look whatever way you want to. he just should have finished it. heck, companies have made body kits for vettes for years.

Poor body panel fit (looks like you can slide a dictionary in the gaps)
The front of the car, forward of the windshield, looks like it's bent @ the firewall and the nose is kicked upwards.
I can give credit where it's due, there's a lot of work gone into it, but it's not done very well, poor pictures, etc..

Why not just buy the Viper? I know it says it's a salvage title so he got the Vette cheap, but I'm pretty sure if you add it all up he could have kicked in just a few more bucks and just bought one. I don't get it.. Those cars are just not far enough apart on price to make it worth doing.
Oh well, if someone finishes the job and does it right, it could work out OK. Right now though it looks like a "do-over" project.

not saying all vettes are nasty, but the interior of that one is awful
id by it, then swap in a viper interior, motor, transmission, axles and suspension
oh wait, that means i just build a whole viper on a corvette frame
