Toyota & Ford Trucks gets recalled

Ford is recalling 3.8 million pickups and sport-utility vehicles — including 1994-2002 model year F-150 trucks, 1997-2002 Expeditions, Lincoln Navigators built from 1998-2002 and Ford Broncos built from 1994-1996 — because of a possible problem with the cruise control which can cause engine fires, even when the truck isn't running.
This is the second cruise-control-related recall of these vehicles, 792,000 were recalled in January.
The problem: Brake fluid may leak through the speed control deactivation switch into the speed control system's electrical components, potentially corroding them, which may lead to a fire at the switch, according to Ford.
The fix: Ford said it will install a fused wiring harness between the switch and the speed control mechanism to cut the electrical current to the switch.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received more than 550 complaints of engine fires from the cruise-control switch and there are allegations of three deaths related to the problem.

Toyota has issued a recall for 978,000 pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles including 4Runner SUVs and T-100 pickups from the 1989-1996 model years to check for a faulty power steering mechanism.

"Ford tough!" Right...
err.. let me not laugh as GM trucks has had their fair share too.
