This is OLD news...
2003-2005 Dodge SRT-4
Loved by those who drive them
Hated by those who couldn't catch them

Yea, that's been the rumor for a while now. I suppose its comfirmed by now, replacement will supposedly be the Caliber.
I don't see how anyone can take it as a surprise, I mean its a 6 year old car riding on a 10 year old platform. Obviously its outdated and needs to be replaced, no matter how beloved the SRT version may be to some people.

As we moved our stuff cross country last month i saw two undisguised caliburs driving down I-94 in BFE Michigan. they look odd. They're like squared off PT Cruisers crossed with the DNA of a Durango and Pontiac Vibe. They are Vibe sized too....which i would imagine will mean the Chrysler version will replace the PT. I didn't like it...but didn't totally dislike it either....i think DCX is making a mistake killing the Neon brand.

How you can have a high performance sport compact that looks like a frieking SUV???? Ugly as @!#$.
I have to believe the srt would never be the same if it was in fact in that body.
this has been known foe a loooooonnnnnnnggggggg tttttttiiiiimmmmmmmeeeeeeeee
caliber - cavalier
ahahahhahahahaaaa
it sounds fuglier than the current peon body , LOL
wonder how much the calibar is gonna cost? im sure its going to be low to mid 20s
This might be a really bad move by Chrysler. The SRT 4 holds the top spot among domestic factory tuners. Changing to the Caliber may hurt them alot more than it helps them. May end up just giving the Cobalt the top spot.
I have a funny feeling they'll keep the SRT-4 name for the performance model Calibur. They have to fill the 4 cylinder slot in their SRT lineup somehow dont they?

Motortopia.com! Thanks!
I'd imagine they'd keep the SRT4 name plate for the performance model of the Caliber. But my issue is, the Caliber is fugly, and it's not the typical "tuner" style car, which might hurt them severely when it comes to keeping up with the Cobalt SS.
