Im sorry but 600+ hp on a tiburon should be gettin him better times the high 10's.

Re: twin engine tiburon

i imagine the weight of 2 full drivetrains would cause it to only run 10's

Re: twin engine tiburon

Yea but he said it weighs about the same as a stock one so i dont think thats it, how much did those things weigh any ways?

you do know that putting 2 motors in the car and then just linking them together is completely different then true AWD.. plus ive seen the vid before i think he had street tires on it. so lets try not to talk out our ass too much ok guy?

I'd say this set-up would be comparable to a twin turbo, mid engine, AWD V8 car. The only big difference would be slightly more roatating mass because of the extra set of gears.

you also dont know much about cars in general obviously IE power to weight ratio.. the fact cramming 2 motors in a car isnt going to make it the same traction as AWD because its just 2 FWD drive trains shoved in. the fact when you have a lightweight car pushing that much power its going to spin tires which is what it did going down the track.. pretty simple things there.

yea... aside from the fact that the car has been featured in tons of magazines and shoot out competitions since 99.. old news.

yup just disregard me because the whiney CO kid said so because i use to flame his best friend on here for talking @!#$ about other peoples cars when the kid drove a 4 cylinder BMW that has less power then most honda civics.

well the2.7 is all alumium but of course it still weighs more.. the older tibs weighed in around 2700 pounds i believe.. the new ones like mine weigh in at a little over 3000 pounds but they also have a entirely different suspension thats all upgraded plus the extra weight for the new motor and they came with bigger brakes all around i believe the factory fronts are like 12.5" rotors.. oh ya and the leather interiors contribute to weight.

thats so old news, but still cool, especailly the burnout

and as far as it only running 10's.....if i remember right its not like it was a huge company with tons of money, it was a small shop that made it, and besides, they said he was spinning tires 3-4 hundred feet out, put slicks on it and you'll see his times drop a lot

ya the little 2.0 in them can handle alot thats thrown at it.. on the tib boards theres a good vid of a 03+ 4 cylinder turbo tib pushing 370WHP on the dyno

i was there the day they were running it at the track. The shop is based out of El Paso Texas And the guy owned a hyundai dealership. And there are several dragonfab cars running around elpaso still. I see a maroon one alot in the northeast.

but that i know of only the green one had 2 engines.
I do belive he closed up shop also.

and this was back in 98-99
