WOW. I HATE IT. It can't be worse than the present Civic, but I guess it'll never be like the previous generation was. I looks better, and I can see how others might like it, but i don't.

Overall the car isn't too bad looking, but I don't understand why they went with the "Cab Forward" design. Chrysler used "cab forward" throughout the 90's, only recently did they change the design of their cars to the newer styling. It just makes the front end look much too sloped and short, the windshield and hood are about as close as you can get to being the same angle.

The back end of the coupe looks nice however, and the interior looks pretty cool, if not somewhat gimmicky. Overall its a huge improvement over the current Si, except for the new cab forward styling, which looks weird and limits interior space (especially front headroom).

Apparently the powertrain is excellent, based on the reviews I've read they said its even better than the RSX-S's engine. Speaking of RSX, I don't know whats going to happen to the Type S now that the Civic Si has almost the same power and a standard LSD for about $3K less. I suppose people will still buy them though if they are turned off by the Civic's new styling.

... I'm a big honda fan, but I'm not feeling the new look. the
coupe looks cool on the outside, but the sedan is way-odd.
Most of all.. i HATE the instrument panel.. its beyond dumb
Some editors are already complaining its hard to get used
to when shifting gears.

Personally, I'd take a 2004 Acura 1.7EL (a gussied-up 4dr
civic), and boost it before I bought a new civic sedan.

^ ^ ^ except they may be missing an integral (no pun intended) part of their "old skool" formula. Namely a 2900lbs curb weight iv'e heard floating around. Any confirmation on the weight?

wesmanw02, the RSX was rumored to be discontinued, because the new Civic almost matched it, but now there will be a new 2007 model RSX coupe and sedan (sedan being a direct replacement for the Canada only 1.7 EL) Kind of like the old 2 and 4 door Integra. I can imagine that it will be an awesome car.

I don't think there are any pics yet. I can't find any, not even a sketch. Honda seems to be pretty good at keeping things hidden until just before the release. The CSX is due out in late October ( I beleive), adn the acura dealership I work at has NO info on it yet.

Doesn't it seem like it's going to be difficult to install and aftermarket radio in that dashboard?

forget about that photo.. that nav system is sweet AND you
can always hook up an aftermarket system to an OEM nav
using an alpine VehicleHub, JL Audio CleanSweep, or PG
SLD44. Look the mess below. what the heck do you do with
that deck (that trim piece is massive).

I like the new civic it is a nice improvement over the current civic (SI(R), coupe and sedan).

Jonathan.. the new EL is gonna be based off of the new civic. the rumors of the CSX are as a replacement\reintroduction of a car in the same market as the CL (i.e. bigger luxury coupe, along the linese of a TL coupe). Anyone looking for a 4-door RSX is buying a TSX.

Also, more recent rumors are saying that they are going to redesign the RSX for 2007 instead of getting rid of it (as was rumored ealier).

What mag do you have? I can't find any 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.
