hey theres a kid around here who bought a crx a month or so ago and hes been talknig trash on how the guy he got it from said he ran 13.40's with it without boost or n02 and i wanna see what you guys think of him and his little 13.40's mobile if its possible cause i doubt it, 15's maybe i think.

First of all, it's ugly. Especially with that wing.
Secondly, I doubt he'd be quite that quick. I'd say maybe low 14's, but I'm not overly knowledgable on Hondas. I suppose it may be possible, but I doubt it.

A CRX with 195 to the wheels will be pretty quick. My buddy has a 90 hatch with 165 to the wheels and runs a 14.8. Saw it with my own eyes. Now a CRX which is lighter with more HP...I can see him pulling really low 14's or really high 15's. I doubt mid to low 13's though. I dont know. I think my buddy could have gotten a mid 14 if he could drive a little better.
Its very possible. Those things dont weigh @!#$. Hate it or not it weights like 1800lbs so 195HP would make that thing pretty quick.
he could have a b18 but with all of that theres no way he'd have 225 at the flywheel... unless all that @!#$ adds up to 60 extra hp.
But when I see the convo he says "it has a cam", as in a single cam. And on the single cam engines it takes quite a bit to get 200hp, you basically NEED a turbo.
I'm going to say that either hes making all that up, or the guy who sold it to him is laughing all the way to the bank. Go for a ride with him or have him take it to the track, that will shut him up. Now if he really did have 225fwhp, some good tires and drove good, it would be probably be high 13s to mid 14s; 13.40 would be highly unlikely.

it has a cam, but it has cam gears??? what cam(s)? what engine would help? my buddy has a 90-93 integra with a b20/vtec with civic type r pistons and integra type r cams. lsd b16 tranny. me and him raced several times and its a drivers race. my boosted 2.2 agains his all motor 2.0
so its very possible. just need to know what engine. if its the stock SOHC then theres no @!#$in way. not without slicks and weight reduction. whats his trap speed?

i saw with my own eyes a gutted as hatch back (1900 pounds) dyno 124 hp, but very clean hp too, the curve was amazing.
and i saw this guy run a 13.0!! those @!#$s are light, IF it has 195 hp, and the guy could drive, theres no doubt in my mind.

With 194 to the wheels and the car being ya hatch I think those numbers would be possible. The only thing I don't like about the car is the wing. I think the rest is fine.
My old CRX ran low to mid 13's all day...and i was a novice drag driver at the time.
You can check it out here. But mine was also not that ugly. The kid that bought it from me has done a ton more to it horsepower wise. It was a monster.

cant deny the civic hatch....they can be VERY fast.....but id never drive one, there ugly, and cramped inside

the CRX motor is a weak motor. that one looks like a later model than mine, but even then, reading reviews, the CRX still has a weak stock motor. I think it'd take alot to get it that fast. If he swapped it (i didnt see it mentioned) I might believe it.
being that ugly, the car needs to run 10s to be justified...
and even then it'd be iffy....
Remove the wing, add some 18's and a nice paint job and the car would look amazing.
