A little luck
Sunday, August 28, 2005 8:31 AM
Went to the junk yard to pick up a part yesterday. Was walking back and spoted an eclipse. Noticed the struts looked a little different. So I stopped, sure enough all 4 struts were Tekico adjustables with eibach lowering springs. All 4 rotors were also slotted and cross drilled. They were perfect except that surface rust starting up on them from sitting. Gonna clean them up and i'm sure they'll be fine. Cost me 20 bux for all 4 slotted and cross drilled rotors. And 16 bux a piece for the spring strut assembely.

my buddy went to one in indiana and was just walking around looking at stuff when he spotted a 94 yukon with a whipple charger on it and a/m intake and holley anhilator(sp) ignition & fuel system. the salvage yard charged him $50.00 for the intake and they said you get what ever is connected to it with it... so that meant the supercharger too!! and then another $25 for the other stuff since its a/m and there is no market for it! omg he was like a lil kid on x-mas.. giddy as hell!

sorry didnt mean to post jack!

i have had no problems with my current slotted & cross drilled rotors that are on my car now. then again i only have about 2,000 miles on them.

btw, my friend just had his from his SRT-4 cut at CarQuest, his ar the just like mine, slotted and cross drilled, dont know if that helps

again congrats on the great find!
