your joking right? if a saturn is quick my POS cav is a rocket
^ ^ ^ they only weight 2300-2400lbs
and run mid 16's.
Have an IRS, which is one big handling advantage.
Mine will be fast...just wait a little longer.

Hate to break it to you, but stock for stock an SC2 will keep up with you in your Z24, and could beat you. A friend of mine has a 99 SC2, and I have gone against him many times in my 97 Cav, from stops, rolling starts, etc. Every time, I have been beat. Granted my Cav was an auto and his SC2 was 5 speed. I have yet to try running against him with my Sunfire.
1998 SC2: 2380 lbs 124 hp 122 ft-lbs.
2000 Z24: 2617 lbs 150 hp 155 ft-lbs.

My friend has a 98 sc2 when i hade my cavalier he would walk me. He raced a 03 cav and was walking on him in 3rd from a roll and was pulling in 4 from a roll. The cav was an auto but still. The cars are no joke.

i raced with an older flip up headlight SC, dont know what engine, but it was dead even with my 89 8v golf, but couldnt hold in the corners. i always thought they were faster than that, maybe it was a poop model or something
WARNING: I bring nothing to the table.
a friend of mine swapped in the dohc sc2 motor into his sc1... he stayed right with me (even pulled a bit) until he hit third (he has the sohc tranny in yet which has a longer 3rd gear) he plans on going turbo soon so that long 3rd gear will really help keep him in the powerband...
they are pretty quick... might surprise you if you underestimate them.
