Chey Aveo
Sunday, August 21, 2005 5:57 AM
I recently purchased a Chevy Aveo for my wife. I'm think about purchasing the Razzi body kit for her car.I just need to know if they have quality body kits. I'm not going way out on this car. This will be her daily driver. It's something a little different.

I thought that Razzi didn't make a bolt-on body kit but rather a "put on over your stock bumper" body kit.

This cas was in our budget and with the GM discount the we got the car at real good price. We have new house along with a 13 month old son. We didn't want to over extend ourselves on a larger car note.

not a lip kit isn't it a front fascia?

i know the dealers have an optional bumper kit...and i thought the front fascia WAS your bumper covers...

It's is more of a lip kit/partial fascia. I helped install the one on the Gravana Aveo. The front stock bumper requires some serious triming to fit the razzi front. The sides and rear went on fine.

BTW Jim LOVES that car too. Says it's a blast to drive.

nothing wrong with your car... heck, I drove a 91 sunbird for a
long time before things broke...a budget is a budget. period!!
.. but personally, I don't like the razzi kit for the aveo.... in any
way shape or form... its WAY too busy. Are there other body
kit options? Nothing makes a car pop like a set of rims, and
a set of 16" rims would look massive on a car your size. Your
car has the same bolt pattern as the civic.. you might be able
snag a set of 2002 civic SiR 16 rims for nothing on ebay;
just swap out the center caps with plain/chevy ones, and you
have yourself clean mod on the cheap.

er

don't Civics have a different bolt pattern?

Re: Chey Aveo

errr...not sure. tires.com says they're both 4x100
but anyways... you see my point... if the aveo has
a 4x108 bolt pattern than hunt down a set of ford
focus 16s.

oh...i didn't know the aveo's bolt pattern. i always assume it's 5xwhatever.

older corolla wheels would work on it, too. any corolla from 2002 and back has 4x100.

lol so then instead of buying a nice car in the first place we are going to buy a true poormans car and then pimp it out to make up for the costs

hey man i am not critisizing but come on if you want to save money leave it as is..... save some pennies in a jar for your kids college. .... both of you will get by with out a body kit on a car that looks like a sketcher shoe anyway
