LT1 made from 93-97 in f bodies and vette, not sure about trucks. 275 hp 325 ft lbs. old SBC design

LSX made 98-present in fbodies, vettes, gtos, trucks, suvs the more common LS1 ranges in hp from 305- 365 hp in models of the f body, not sure about wat else. new SBC design

parts ARE NOT interchangeable.

Read the Sig.

God himself parted the heavens and shined an everlasting beam of light around the first LS1. It is blessed in the eyes of God himself. I wouldn't argue with God. Would you?

the 00-02 ls1 shared alot of ls6 parts. manifold, clutch, ect. some actually had ls6 blocks. thats where the 365hp came from out of the last 2 years of the camaro.

Jinxed even though your sig is very true, I still would rather have an LT1 than an L03.

So does that mean my engine has 2 Richard Simmons' caressing it?

I was in the same position.

So I bought one.

It gets better gas milage and has lower insurance rathes then a Cavalier... Do you understand?! Better Gas Milage and lower insurance rates.

I Love it.

Pre-LT1/LT4 is the 1st Generation SBC and was used from 1955 until 1998, 1993 in the Camaro and I believe the same year in the Corvette.

The LT1/LT4 is the 2nd Generation SBC and was never used in the trucks

The LS1/LS6 is the 3rd Generation SBC and was used in about everything GM made

The LS2/LS7 is the 4th Generation SBC and is what is currently used in everything but the trucks

I believe the LT1 has an iron block and head as well. I forget what the ls1 used. I do know the LT1 gets better gas mileage though.

can't wait to get one man, i'm excited. get the gmmg exhaust for it,, but first drop it like its hott., subframe connector, front and rear sway bars, strut tower brace. springs and shocks. heard good things about pro 5.0 shifter so probably get that.

^ Ls1 > LT1 in every aspect except maybe bottom end torque.... Driving, gas milage performance its all better.

Lot of suspension work eddie for a car that really suck around turns... subframe connecters are a damn good idea, and i have a STB which did nothing. Springs and shocks if u wanna go lower i guess. I personally like my hurst over an B&M shifter.

Don't forget to get some LT's and a ORY too.... thats if you dont have to worry about emissions much. And while your at it might as well save up for a 12 bolt rearend because the stock 10 bolts are pretty weak.
