Hey guys, one of my buddies has a vw jetta 02 5 spd with the 1.8T. I don't know much about those cars or the motors. He bought the car the way it is and from what the seller told him was it has a CAI, Full exhaust, Computer. The car is slammed, kitted, 19'' motegi's with nitto neogens. I know the car is heavy and the wheels are hurting him, the car runs low 15's with a 2.6 60' and a 96 mph trap. What should run with the right 60'?

Regardless of 60' times or 1/4 times, the trap speed always shows a cars "potential". A 96 mph trap speed should be good for mid 14's as stated above. That's about what my car ran and even I didn't have the best launches.
how can u have a CAI on a turbo?

Stock turbo car still use a restrictive air intake system.
Yeah I was thinking mid to high 14's. One are our buddies has an srt4 and he smokes the sh*t out of the jetta everytime. The jetta spikes to 20-21 psi and it does still have a cat.

That car should easily run mid-14s as stated. The 19s are definitely killing it. You need the run a cat since it has sensors before and after it.

Now I just need me azenis's so I can be in front of him for the first 1/8 mile of the track lol. He sucks at launching, He will always catch me by 30-40 mph. From a roll, he just tears me up, must be nice to have a turbo from the factory.
