The new G6 will have a soft top and it's baisically a Grand Am although it not supposed to be out yet. One thought could it have been a vynil hardtop sometimes they can look like a softtop from a distance.

i mean older grand am, like a early 90s the 92-95 style i think

i`ve seen several older grand ams with the "FAKE" Soft top
Doesn't look too bad. I personally never heard of a soft top GA.

Either a custom job or it's a fake vinyl top most likely the latter. There's a vinyl top 2nd gen Cavy sedan running around here, pretty decent shape too.
the last gen of the malibu's had that as an option, and that was the same platform as the grand am so i dont see why it wouldnt come like that
