Yep a power bump will happen for the Vortec 4200 I-6 for 2006. This engine is on the Trail-blazer, Envoy, Rainier, 9-7X and Accendor.
When the engine came out in 2002 it had 270Hp/275Tq
in 2003 HP levels jumped to 275Hp with the the same 275Tq.
Now the strait-six has 290Hp and 277-lb-ft. The power rating is almost equals the optional Vortec 5300 at 300Hp but the V8 has the more grunt at 330Tq.
Wish this engine was on a car.

yea my friend has a 02 Trail Blazer with that engine, he loves it, ran a 16.1 with it.....not to shabby for a big suv
almost 300hp is awsome, GM needs to start making more impressive engines like this one
Gotta love a good Straight-6, nice and torquey down low. Hopefully some of the technology used in the Straight-6 is used in the new V-8s those will be some awesome engines if that happens.
