yeah it needs alot of work but next year, its getting all new internals, a nitrous kit, a limited slip, better rims, and a very thorough cleaning. Then in auto body its getting a rear spoiler (nothing ricey), a lip spoiler, 240z front bumper and the rear bumper shaved.

i was toying with the idea of swapping in a different motor, not much of a v8 kinda guy, i was thinking maybe VG30DETT, or 2JZ, i don't know what i want to do yet.

yeah i thought it was a steal for $1500,
oh and rob, it didn't come with the V8, it was swaped in, the 280z came with a 2.8 liter inline 6 with mechanical fuel injection.

Cool old Z car! I used to work on my friend's 73 240 (original) and helped throw a small block chevy and T-5 in a 76 260 just like yours. Great little cars! I wish I could find a nice clean one to restore someday.

wow, i think that would be too much power, when i shift the car 1st to 2nd and to 3rd, it squeaks the tires and the backend jumps out a little, i can't imagine this car with a big block.

I actually just got my JTR manual for swaping a v8 in a datsun today, im excited, now if i just had the money. by the time i get enough money and the car, im gonna be able to do the conversion blindfolded hehe!!! i cant wait

its extremly quick, just to give you guys/girls a point of reference, my friend with a 6 speed LT1 camaro, said it's faster than his car, and i intend to prove it soon.......

You sir, are lucky just for having a 1970's Z-car that isn't rusted to all hell.
I'm sure the V8 doesn't hurt at all either.
