I wish Mr. Impala would learn how to 'ghost' his disclaimers into the photos...
Not my cup of meat, but really, not bad looking for behemoths (oops, I meant SUV's)!

Headlights/square front look very land range-roverish.

LOVE the front. The Escalade rear looks the same but the Tahoe rear much more resembles the Escalades. Hope to see more

i like the rear, the front is ehhh....might grow on me

Check out my build thread!
Definitely nice looking trucks; you can tell how they evolved the current look into the new design.
There has also been some specs released about engines, which are going to be flat out awesome - they will not only have significantly increased power outputs, but they will also achieve better fuel mileage through Displacement on Demand and other fuel saving new features.
Interiors (a sore point of the current model) will also be addressed in these new models. They will probably follow GM's new theme of simple, clean, higher-quality interior design.
These new trucks should be class leaders. Can't wait for their debut

Looks good..we needed a change on those trucks...
Goodwrench, any word about the Silverado, specifically about the Diesel, I've heard rumors about a Caterpillar Diesel smaller then the C7 currently used in the Kodiak trucks, any truth to that?

I like the look, but the top one looks distinctly like a lincoln navigator from the rear. I dont know if its such a good idea to make a new SUV that looks like one thats been out for a few years already.
Nice fresh look though. Thumbs up.

Saint,
Silverados for 2006 model will continue on the same just with a minor face lift but still under GMT-800. For 2007 m/y they will overhaul to to the new chassis (GMT-900).
As for diesels. Cat will continue supply but only the med-duty only (4500+). Not 2500-3500 models. Duramax will continue on. GM is thinking on a smaller version of the current 6.6L Duramax to power lesser models. But it is not confirmed yet. If memory serves me right, in 2006 Duramax will updated again in 2006 model year inwhich it will later on be carried over to the GMT-900s for 2007-2008 HDs. Expect 650+ Ft-lbs of tourque, which right now it is at 605 ft-lbs on Silverado trim w/auto.

Thanks man, it'd be sweet if they did go to Cat they'd pretty much own the market, but I guess it's only a dream. Looks like I'll be getting the Mercedes powered Ram when I buy my next truck

and they'll still have a 40 gal fuel tank and get 8 mpg on the highway. sorry but no thanks.
