Ok so me and my friends were just chillen by the local mall in our town when these kids in a oldschool SHO taurass came up and was asking everyone to race. First asked my friend in the prelude, but his clutch was bad, then my friend in the integra but he doesnt race. So then he asked if anyone wanted to race. We all then look to our friend with a blazer and asked if he wanted to race these kids and finally he said he would do it for 10 dollars bets. No biggy right? The guy in the blazer tells him it has tornado intake, throttlebody spacers, and flowmasters. If you look at the blazer its totally normal looking just lowered maybe 2 inches with some wide tall rims. No biggy still, so we all finally come to a stop and the toreass takes off and so does the blazer. The blazer takes him by a car at most not much really. Then we all park after the few races and got his 10 bucks. The SHO guy was talking how they were pretty close and it was a good race and they all said that it ran very good (the blazer) and they asked if it was the awsome '4.3 vortec' ofcourse we said yes. Then the blazer had to leave so he just pulled out and then he hammered it. You could hear the Blow off Valve on the 6.0l Escalade engine romping it. Btw this blazer runs 12's flat aswell on only 4 pounds of boost. Pretty sick sleeper hehe, those kids couldnt bieleve it either when we told em about it. We were gonna do a 10 car head start for the SHO and let him get the launch but the guy in the blazer didnt want to do it. Thats when we told them about what the blazer is packing. I dunno if it sounds good here but damn was it awsome seeing this SHO got 0wn3d

lol thats funny theres a blazer that i use to see at the races in philly. it was red w/ green hubcaps and it had a vette motor in it.

Its a turbocharged Escalade engine 6.0l running only 4 pounds. And yeah he was just playing with the kid giving it just 1/2 throttle if that he didnt even spool up.

Actully he told me its a 6.0l out of a 2003 Silverado sorry but its the same as an escalade right? Im not sure about power I just know the track time is 12.02 in the 1/4 I'll try get pics but I just cant find any right now.

almost the same. Same displacement, same block, different things here and there. the LQ9 is found in silverado SS, escalade and denali, rated at 345hp. the LQ4 is found in all the other trucks/SUVs and is rated at 300hp. the LQ4 is better for forced induction.
But if he ran a 12 @ 4psi, I would guess ATLEAST 500hp. the livernois escalade ran 12.8 at 13psi, its a heavier vehicle and ran on race fuel, i think it had atleast 650hp.
