Well I don't know if you guys have heard the news yet, but Pontiac is getting Delta based compact that will launch next year. Its based on the Cobalt and its unknown if its a just a US
Pursuit or something more differentiated. I'm hoping its like the Ion/Cobalt were they look nothing a like but I have SERIOUS doubts. If its just a Pursuit I think Mr. Goodwrench G.T. will have a coronary.

I was under the impression Canada was going to get the Pursiut. Not America.

An GM exec said the dealerships are whining about a replacement for the
sunfire....
I'm thinking no, because L-town is going to have enough to worry with the new Ion
and HHR....
IF they do-big IF, it might end up being from Daewoo...(swift, Verona..)
throwing a rumor I heard though-if Pontiac does get a compact, the Sunbird
name could come back..
At the Auto Show in Motion this year, I talked with alot of the Chevy and Pontiac people from GM there, they were all upset the J platform was shut down...I cant believe Pontiac has gone a year already without a Sunfire replacement!
