HOW CAN U TELL IF CLUTH IS BAD

I have a 89 mazda b2200 witht he 2.2 in it and was wondering how can u tell if the cluth is bad. When i step on the cluth pedal it goes all the way to the floor and wont shift. Any help is appreciated.

^That happened to my cavalier but it was due to having a hole in the hose that leads to my fluid reservoir. Check your fluids. I would push the clutch in and it would get stuck to the floor and not engage the gears.

yeah i had the same problem and it was my hose too just like blueakron04.

thats the first thing i checked was the fluidsn hose and the clutch cable. All are fine, so I just had it towed to the dealer gettign reay to get raped there lol. I think it might be the slave cyclinder or master. not sure tho.
