so I finally got my oil lines for my stock turbo since I couldn't man-handle the stock lines into place.
Stainless steel braided baby...
fixed my mechanical timing, now its back at 0. put everything back together... new gaskets for the turbo,
reassembled all the induction everything is pretty kosher.
still had a crappy idle tho. So I decided to swap in the ebay ISC valve I got for like $20.
the car idles like a dream now.
it still stumbles and stalls when slowing from a stop, so I'm not sure what thats all about. I think my CPS
(cam position sensor) may be out of alignment now so thats next on my to do list, as well as a TPS alignment.
I don't have any check engine lights, but the car doesn't feel as powerful in the top end anymore. Not sure why...
I may have a boost leak or something. I'm about to go shim my wastegate. Also I don't think my oil pressure is
where its supposed to be, so maybe the turbo isn't getting the oil it needs and isn't spinning fast enough?
who knows... the turbo was definetly boosting before, but now the car just seems not as fast. It has been a while tho...
oh well onto the pics.
the car is busted ass ugly.. and desperately needs a fresh coat of krylon rustoleum flat black... that'll be coming soon
I'm still focusing on getting the engine running just right as well as fixing my e-brake, ABS, and my speedometer.
As much as i love a turboed car, i say you give up on it and get the Skwirl going.
Supra = boo
.
U can call this one the Flying Plum.
I was thinking project Sleepra
since its all de-badged, and I'm basically going to make it look kinda like crap
halfway there hahaha
i still say flat black would look stupid on that car
but to each their own
Nice. Im going to pick up another 94TT this tuesday.
jeff
thats a mighty nice weather beaten front bumper you have there =P
"Theres a time in every mans life where he hits a cross roads and...wait...are you wearing panties?"
mmmmmmmmmmmm supra! old skool but still badass. even though it needs some exterior love it looks good to me!
the car's exterior was actually in pretty good shape. only one semi major ding on the passenger rear quarter panel... I keep forgetting its even there.
The bumpers wear alot faster because the older paints weren't flexible for the bumpers they used, hence it breaks down and cracks a lot faster than the sheet metal paint. Every old supra I've ever seen has looked like that lol
i still have some work to do to the engine before I can start making the car look better.
I'll post more as I go along
