Some dumbasses towed my girlfriends car by the rear right tire. It bent outwards and pulls in the rain. Theres two parts i can see that hold it. One peice is a Bar that connects from the tire and goes forward to the frame. The other is a bar that connects by the brake and goes across the back end to the other tire. ld post a pic but i cant find my usb cable...thanks
1.) What are you asking? There isn't a question in your post.
and...
2.) Why the hell was someone towing it by the tire??? That's retarded
@!#$ i deleted hald my post...lol
1. Its the part that hold the hub assembly on. What is the name of that. Its a thick beam that goes across the back of the car.
2. Becuase of the way it was buried in the snow they didnt want to get down and dig it out so they thought it would be a good idea. I was stuck in the car so i couldnt say WHAT THE @!#$ ARE YOU DOING
The axle? You couldn't figure that out on your own.
Yella02-I promise I will return to you in one piece and this will stay up until I am safely home
Its not the axle. And no i dont know the name of this part..
What you are describing is the rear axle, you're describing a Beam Rear Suspension. Which has a solid bar that runs from one tire
ACROSS THE BACK OF THE CAR to the other tire, it has bearings at each end so that the wheel can spin freely, with a hub and rotors mounted on it so that the car can stop, and then there is a wheel mounted to it with a tire on the wheel.
Yella02-I promise I will return to you in one piece and this will stay up until I am safely home
that would be the rear axle.

well thanks guys..i just looked like the biggest dumbass going into a place asking for a rear axle on a front wheel drive car.
As i thought...it was the controll arm. Any idea how hard this would be to replace.
