Yep, it's called the "Take $500 Off So The Customer Doesn't Leave" discount, and every dealership has them, GM or not.

Nope. These are factory rebates on the slower selling cars such as the new Buick models Lucerne and LaCrosse. It ranges from $500-1500 If I remember right. Local news did a quick bit on it but didn't bother to put a link on their site about it.
