Hey is it possible to change the stock cd player on a 2000 volkswagen bug if so lemme know i have this friend well shes a girl and just wants a simple cd player for her bug but everyone keeps telling her it is impossible to do i havent yet looked inside the car to see what the setup was but as far as in know all it is now is a simple am/fm/cassette player ...... post me back on this one gus i'd really like to know

Not sure off the top of my head what the radio / HVAC looks like in that car. If i remember correctly they are not physically one piece so it should be able to be swaped. Just a normal install with probably some dash fit kit.
They problems you run into, such as with my car the Leg GT, and many newer cars today, is that the manufacturers make the radio and HVAC into one combined unit. The circuit boards for them are physically within the same part. THerefore you cannot separate them without a kit which has essentaill a whole new climate control module, which is usually ridiculously expensive if a company even makes one.
Even so, you can still usually put a head unit in, but it will take some tricky wiring as the one piece unit would still need to be in the car and you would essentially have 2 head units with the stock one not working except to just have power going to it.
it can be done. A 1760 VW harness from metra. Cage mount it. abd I cant remember what the dash kit is but its just a little trim plate that goes around the radio. Try to get a stationary face. The kit catches the flip face.
