The time has come + JBO milestone?
Wednesday, July 06, 2005 9:01 AM
After some soul-searching, I have decided it was time to move on from my Cavalier. It's been a blast and a huge learning experience, and I'll always feel a part of the j-body community.

I wasn't totally ready to give up on fun, though:

Sleeper?

Milestone?
I'm not sure about this, but I think I may be the first person on here to turbocharge my Cav, put 51,000 boosted miles on it (101,000 miles total), then sell it, all with the original motor and still boosted and still running pretty strong. The new owner is loving it and will take good care of it. Any E-manage nay-sayers can take a look at those numbers above.

hey man, sorry to see your cavi go, but welcome to the supercharged club. have you joined clubgp yet? it's a grand prix, forum, but there are tons of regal/impala/monte carlo guys on there, too. have fun with that.

The car's a 99, has 63k miles on it. I got a killer deal paying $7200 for it. It's completely unmolested, never had any mods. It DOES have a reman'd charger as the oem one went out a few thousand miles ago. It was probably just the coupler, but the previous owner spent good money and bought a PSE unit with metal coupler with a lifetime warranty (transferred to me). Other than your standard "I'm a black car that's 6 years old" scratches, the car is in great shape.

I'm not a member at clubgp yet, but I am over at regalgs.org.

hmmmmm sleeper eh???

i know it would kinda loose the sleeper look but i acctually think a set of hyperblack wheels w/ a polished lip would look sick on that car

These wheels are on their way to me right now. I am limited in wheels I can use due to the odd bolt pattern (5x115mm) of the car. I had originally wanted some opal Konig Imagines, but they're 5x114.3mm, and while I've been told they'd work by many, I wasn't willing to take that risk.

you got a smokin deal man

the rims should look pretty sweet on it

1 of the local GTP guys here has ran 12.7 with a internally stock motor , with just bolts and slicks

so enjoy the stealth of the regal , and old man insurance , LOL

I had a Regal GS coupe back in the day before I got my sunfire...

Alas, body rust, and kid that owned it (and subsequently flogged the living hell out of it) before me conspired to get me to sell it to get the Sunfire. I feel kind of bad because the lady that bought it had a great time for about 8-9 months until the body cancer really started peeking through and something in the motor let go, she was pretty much car innocent, so I told her that I wasn't responsible, I owned it for 1 month, changed all the fluids and put new brakes on it... got the inspection certificate, sold it to her.

I'd SO own one again though... They're a better ride than the Grand Prix, but, nice wheels and stiffer tires will straighten that out in a hurry.

I want to see that car when you're done with it.

Aweseom

Buicks rock

the 3800 rocks, and so does the blower

Enjoy

I would have stuck with the OEM rims (but I am paranoid about getting pulled over, thats the only reason)

The aftermarket rims look great tho.. I love the whole package.

Dude, that car is lookin' so sweet. A lip kit would set it off perfect IMO. I love how the rims are almost a perfect color match to the lower color of the paint job.
