cobalt ss = fast , jetta = fast , skyline= death for the above mentioned cars. and someone correct me if im wrong but i was allways led to believe the gtr model skyline
was all wheel drive and that the plain skylines were the rear wheel drive ones. could
be wrong but thats what it has written in this months modified magizine.

Yeah, I recorded it (TIVO BABY!!), it sucks, the jetta is auto...and the cobalt is going up against a skyline...i dunno, it does have GM performance behind it though.

Jersey J: I higly doubt, though i could be wrong, that they are gonna bling out cars for the track. And im with you, if they put 20" chrome rims on the SS, i think i might flip out.
sweet. i just watched the 1st episode. looks like a series. and it looks like an interesting show. do you guys think that GM has an advantage? seeing how they are using the GM performance team? or because of the potential of the skyline that the team working on the skyline will take the 1st place?

Time wont matter, it will take about the same time to take the engine out and put parts in and put it back together. Money limits would have an effect. If the sky is the limit it should be close.
I wonder what kind of track they will be at.
If it was drag race I could see the cobalt winning givin the ecotecs potential and the fact that GMPD is building it, the same team setting track records in drag racing.
But since it's a road course It's going to be a challenge. My guess is they will build a grand am cup cobalt with more power.
I think the Cobalt is going to need a big diet if it is going to compete with the skyline, I know the skyline is a porker but with AWD and obviously a really good base for tuning and tonns of power it's going to be tough for the other cars. They could build that skyline like an old Group N car with a bunch of camber in the front and stuff some wide ass tires in the fender and then run alot of boost aswell as some seriously tight coilovers. I wonder what the limitations are for this compitition.
Oh and I like the show allready, I go or use to go to lapping days alot and I find it interesting to see this stuff.
