That sucks, I didn't even know they were getting rid of the Deville.

Deville Touring Sedan = DTS
Catera Touring Sedan = CTS
Seville Touring Sedan = STS

Why the XLR's top-end model wasn't named the XLR-8V is beyond me.

We've got a CTS-V and teh STS-V is either out or will be out soon. I've also heard rumors of an XLR-V. Are there plans for a DTS-V?

My Dad was visiting my sister in Honolulu and stopped at a Cadillac dealer there. One of the salemen told him that there's going to be an Escalade-V. Don't know if it's true or not. Since the Escalades already have a 6 liter engine in them maybe it'll get a supercharger!!

^^It is true. And actually GM is prototyping a OHV V-12. It is the only vehicle in the entire GM lineup that a V-12 will fit.

I got the chance to get into D-Ham and play around with a few DTSs...The pics you
see don't do it justice...up close it does look pretty good. And the inside looks much
better than the Deville now.

I'll miss the Vill' but it had to go sometime..(just like the Cav..)

I never heard about the v12... but this guy in my drafting class worked at the proving grounds and told me they had a v10 in an escalade. But from what Ive read on GMI it seems that the v10 is scraped.

^^^That was true too, but that was also about 2 yrs back too.
This V-12 is being put on the GMT-800 (Escalade) as a test mule for a (possible) Escalade-V which (may) be on the 2007 GMT-900, nothing confirmed yet. Also GM is testing a V-16 OHV (2 Small-blocks put together) for a possible upcoming ULS, Cadillac's $100,000+ Maybach/ Rolls-Royce/ Bently answer. That is if Robert Lutz gives green light.
