The front end of the Civic kind of looks like the Ion
Yella02-I promise I will return to you in one piece and this will stay up until I am safely home
Man, that new civic is UGLY!!!!!!!
I need a sig
The back of that Accord looks like the Grand Prix.
The Civic looks like the new Eclipse....
hmmmmm.... pretty boring and bland if you ask me. But nobody did,.
The red Si looks cool, I liked the concept better tho.

BUT Now you know, cause you're Jon Doe, in a black bag, a tag on your toe, I built the Honda, I felt the pain, you're victimized with no one to blame, you're just another victim kid.....

new coupe looks ok....the sedan is poop
I find it funny that GM makes a car that looks like the Civic and then Honda makes a car that looks like an ION...
Is it just me or does the Accord look kinda like an Avalon.
Wife's got a 04 accord ex looks much better with the bigger headlights and rear tail as they are. They just can't leave well enuff ALONE!!!!!
love the new civic coupe, but agree with jinxed. the civic is far away from what it was.

Wow interesting pics.
Its hard to tell from the pic, but the Accords front end almost looks like the new Chevy Impala/Monte Carlo front end. Rear looks good, but very similar to Grand Prix, with a touch of Acura styling.
The new Civic looks like total ass. Front end looks squished, bloated, and way too wide for the car. Grille and headlights are all too similar to the Saturn Ion, which is not exactly a very attractive car itself. Rear and sides look good though, especially the coupe. The back end slopes down nicely, and the taillights are pretty original.
Well hopefully they will revise that front end before it goes on sale, because I can't see them selling too many with it looking so disproportionate as that.

the rear on the new civic looks awful

IMO the 4-door looks looks like a small TSX or TL. Love it. I like the fact it has short overhangs with a long wheelbase. The cabin looks huge, which leads me to believe the car will be indeed be roomy. The car looks futuristic and swoopy, best of all it does not look cheap . I can't wait to see when all the stickers are all off and see the final product.
The coupe looks great and hot so far, I can not pinpoint any other car that it looks like. A good thing. The car looks fast standing still. I love the long windshiled, reminds me of the old Saturns S-series and 4gen F-body. Always digged the "cab-forward" look.
Like Mike said, the Accord looks like a Grand-prix. Overall improved. I always said the tail needed a butt-lift. Its finally done.
Here are some more pics of the civic:

I'm right with you Goodwrench, I thought the Civic had more of a TL look from the front with those slim headlights. Although from the rear it does kinda resemble the Eclipse. Not bad I guess.
I don't think there was any way they could have made the Civic look worse. Especially the sedan. So it does look better. The Sedan kind of looks like Toyota Prius.
The Accord is different, but I don't think it's any better or worse. But my opinion may be different in person.
I told the guys at work (Honda/Acura dealership) that if the new Civic was anything like the old generation Civics, they could probably sell me on one. But looking at it, I don't think they will.
Has anybody seen the new Acura CSX? It is a hatchback only, which I think is not a very good idea, snce it replaces the Acura EL, which is by far our dealerships best selling car.
Acura EL is canadian only.

Yes it is, but the CSX will be Canada and US I think? But either way, I don't think as many people would buy a hatchback, as bye a sedan.
In teh US, since there is no Acura EL, is there a Civic that comes with leather and side airbags, and the rest of the stuff the EL has?
you all think the civic coupe is ugly and/or looks like a ION!?
how does it resemble an ion? it looks like a straight up TSX or whichever acura coupe. the back if anything looks audi. i think the entire package is leaps and bounds better looking than the cobalt coupe by far and an uber clean shape to boot. i dig it.
the sedan is lame but they have been since the current body style. and the accord just looks to me to be the current model with new front and back treatments...not to impressed.

well jammit, thank you for correcting everyones OPINIONS
sorry, it just does not look anything like an Ion from any perspective. just sounded like one person said it and many others jumped on the bandwagon.

I like the new coupe.
Like the cobalt SS there are things I'd change from factory, but looking at the lines of the car you can see with aftermarket the new civic could look great. I look forward to going to SEMA again this year, hopefully I'll see a few done up there.
i havent really liked the way hondas styling has gone since mid to late 90's
definitely dont like the 96and up hatches
