Sunday Off Roading (Pictures Inside)
Monday, June 27, 2005 6:33 AM
Enjoy. Sundays are our usual four wheeling day and I had my camera on me so here are some pictures. I don't have any of mine really since I was the one shooting most of the day.

I threw in some scenic pictures also. The place is a public road but from all the weather, it has made a nice area to four wheel at. It has a lot to play with (mud, rocks, hill climbs, creeks, etc.) Down at the bottom of the roads is a nice spot to go tubing or make a fire to picnic it up.

It was a pretty good run. We wheeled for about 4-5 hours. My friends bronco four wheel drive cut out on him while we were down there so it was a task getting him back up. Other than that, a shock mount broke off my friends cherokee.

Another friend that went along brought his video camera so I will try to get some video of all the runs we went on.

Have a good one,
Justin

Where at in PA are you located at? I am near the York area.

The place in the pictures above is called Trails Rd. It is near the Airville / Brogue / Delta area. You are more than welcomed to come along with us next time we go, we can get in touch and exchange some info if you are interested. The place there is pretty legal since it is a public road.

I went down there stock but got hung up on a gnarly rock both times, but other than that, it held up pretty good (with the exception of bottoming out a good bit), just need to be careful on which lines you take.

As far as some other spots, went climbing at a spot right next to Harley Davidson off of Rt. 30...which is illegal but it is so fun and the scenery is amazing.

Another spot is right off of Rt. 30 also, it is near the AWI building. There are dirt jump for motorbikes and BMX'ers but there is also a trail to ride on along the quarey that will take you up towards the York Galleria mall.

Have a good one,
Justin

Looks awesome... I have yet to take my '88 Yota out since there really isn't anywhere good to go around here... mostly just places where I ride my ATV.

I love going off-roading.

My g/f and friends go all the time, it's such a different experience.

We don't have any creeks like that around here, just dirt and mud. Feel lucky because I would love to go through things like that in my g/f's YJ.

Nice pictures, definitely captures how much fun you can have with a Jeep.

Good stuff man, York is only 2, 2 1/2 hrs up the road from here I'll have to come up there sometime.

Did this guy take a waggy XJ front and spray paint it and put on his cherokee? Interesting look. I like rigs like you guys's, nothing fancy just functional, no chrome plated diff covers and 1500 dollar winches.

Sounds good, looking forward to hearing from ya.

If you take the lines right, you usually come out of trails with nothing broken. It is just fun going to places some cars can't go and checking out all the sites some places have to offer. If something breaks, it breaks. It is just more of a reason to either upgrade or fix it and learn some more about your rig.

So did you get Jeep then? If not, any luck finding any around a good price?

, on the front of my friends shirt it said KICK ASS on it in big letters. I think the daeWOO would do just fine.

Yeah, I am definitely happy I live up in PA. There are a lot of places that have a lot of different stuff to wheel on. I would love to hit some sand dunes sometimes, I heard of one up towards the Illinois area.

Yup, that is what he did. He says now the dealership looks at him funny now when he goes in to pick up parts because he gets them for all different years.

Thanks again everyone on the comments.

Have a good one,
Justin
