New Skyline?
Monday, June 20, 2005 5:38 PM
I was on my way to Charlotte Saturday afternoon when this car flew by me. I was doing about 65 and it made my car rock a bit when he went by. I got these shots when he was slowed by traffic. I didn't think that they made these here yet. According to HCI Magazine this month they don't.

Anyways, after he got free from traffic he was going like a scalded dog.

If it was in America. It's a G35 with a rebadge but....

2005 Nissan Skyline

2005 Infinity G35

Don't know how you could get those mixed up.

What everyone else said, the current G35 coupe and sedan is just a rebadged Nissan Skyline.

my uncle has a G35 and does a lot of reading on it. Nissan is thinking of doing a turbo set up and calling it a Skyline with the G35 body. and a different Aero kit. its still in the works and prolly around 07. like i said a turbo G is basically what it will be. as far as that one goes its what everyone else said...if i can find the link he showed me i will repost so you can read up on it also. it looks pretty sick and will have around 400 hp they are saying but prolly will go more

Actually, the one in the first post is the rear bumper. it looks boxy, but it's not really, that's just the reflection out of the paint.

It COULD be a Skyline, but if its got an Infiniti badge up front, it most likely isn't... you can tell the difference because G35=LHD, Skyline=RHD.

Either way, I like both the G35/Skyline and 350Z, but I think I'd get the G35x (the AWD version) and turbo it if the engine is the same as the reg. G35. Give a Subaru WRX a bit of a surprise once in a while.

A couple years ago on my way to the NAIAS in detroit I had a RHD skyline like the one in your picture pull along side of me. It was pretty badass.

OK OK guys there are no skylines in the U.S. yet at least none with a steering wheel on the left side. Although nissan does have plans to release the real deal NISSAN Skyline in the U.S. for the 2008 model year
Re: New Skyline?

They already have realeased the real-deal Nissan Skyline, it's called th Infiniti G35, they're pretty much exactly the same, I've sat in both of them. Even if Nissan brings the GT-R over here, which isn't in production yet, last I knew it wasn't still undecided if Nissan would bring it over as an Infiniti or a Nissan.

in japan, the g35 (us) is the skyline, while the 350z is the fairlady. same freaken car just rebadged even in japan. but i think the differences are in power. i've seen a few cars around here with 350z's w/ rebadged fairlady on them.

okay first off anybody who puts skyline badging on a 350z is and idiot. like Eddie said the 350z is called the Fairlady

however the differences between the 350z and g35 are more than just a simple rebadging, its also all different body panles. i believe only the doors and roof are the same

the skyline that is currently sold in japan is sold here as the Infiniti G35. the upcoming Skyline GT-R may come here as a nissan or infiniti. the bomex looking rear bumper i dont believe is going to look like that when production starts, expect there to be a different trunk tailight combo on there. as the article said, the GT-R will be longer than the current skyline. i cant wait to see the finished product, should be pretty sweet

on a side note, this kid i went to high school with had 2 Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R s that were beautiful. one all stock and one kitted and had volk TE-37 rims and engine work done, it was sick. i got to ride in it, it weird when your on the left side and riding, the thing was so fast
