just saw a yellow cobalt ss still with the dealer test drive tag on it come across the crest of a hill must have been haulin a$$ and the light was red. OOPS!! the driver tried to go between the right lane and the left lane..... he didn't fit, took out 6 other cars and a pick up before it stopped. as for the cobalt well it was toast the only way i recognized it was the wing and the taillights other then that there was no telling what the hell it was.
i was gonna stop and see if i could get the blower but i'm sure the sales guy was in no mood for jokes. now if i could just find out where it gets taken to i might not need to wait for thekit from g.m. has any one else seen these things wrecked yet?
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
SCORE! Keep an eye on that baby, ones insurance writes it off go grab the front clip.
oh believe you me i'm gonna try like hell to get what ever i can off that thing..... or whatevers left, it was pretty bad. cops all over and like 5 or 6 ambos.

sounds really bad...hopefully everythings alright
and to wreck a car on a test drive? id feel like such an @!#$, wonder if they will make him buy it?
it is only a matter of time before you will see alot more. Remember when the SRT-4 came out they started ending up in junk yards all over the place. Face it most people that buy these cars think they are race car drivers, but in fact can drive for @!#$.
YEAH I WENT PREMIUM. SO BITE ME!
dont know how bad anyone was hurt but here were about 5 or 6 ambos at the sceen
and the driver of the cobalt was still in the car. not trapped or anything he was just sittin there but the sales dude was goin nuts! i'm gonna TRY to keep an eye out for this thing at the junkyard but somehow i dont think its gonna make it there before its striped.
lone wolf what color seats are you hoping for the car was yellow so there gonna be yellow or black.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Yeah I figured this would start happening sooner or later... put too fast of an engine in an entry level car and you get inexperienced drivers getting wayyyy too cocky.
I haven't seen any wrecked, but that's probably because I haven't seen many sold/on the road.

Well the price tag says it's not an entry level car. The outside and inside of the SS sure looks like an entry level car but your wallet gets hit for an RSX type S... anyways, hope everyone is all right, what an awful thing to have happen.

It doesn't matter what kind of car you're driving, if you're a stupid driver it's not going to matter what kind of car he or she is driving.. What a waste of a car
I hope the driver and other car's involved had no injuries.
Well, that was an a$$hole statement if I've ever seen one..

yeah he may be stupid but death is a something i dont wish on people, carma you know. ok maybe osama but thats about it

i can see it now. the car crashed on the side of the road, people crying. Then low and behold a
member comes along and starts the dismantling process with a quickness. Loads up his truck the needed parts and tells the people to tell the insurance company it was such a hard impact the engine went flying out into the tree's and took all the wiring with it. .
Got a link to the story? This HAD to make it into newspapers, right?

what the accident or a jbo member striping the car on the side of the road?
but seriously there are soooo many accidents around here that someone would have to have died and only then you MAY see it in the paper.
but i did make a few phone calls (working at the dealer has its perks) and right now
the car is on hold by g.m. cause they still own it. when i asked what this meant i was told that this car most likely never go to a junk yard that it will probubly be taked back
to g.m. and looked at before they scrap it so they can see how it did in a "real world"
crash. and when its scrapped i asked and they said forget it the car basicly just fell
into a big whole and now its closing back up

well, its not exactly entry level, but i agree with you completely. Performance like that shouldn't come that easily available to inexperienced drivers. The other problem is that when mommy and daddy by Junior a car, he doesn't have the same appreciation for it as he would if he bought and paid for it himself, so he ends up being reckless. In my opinion, its a much better path to get an inexpensive yet relatively quick car, something like an 04 J base model or civic(can't believe i just said that), or something along those lines so that speed only comes by spending hours researching and working on the car, and learning as they progressively get faster. SRT4 can run 13's stock with a good driver, its just too much car for 90% of first time car owners to handle without more experience. Cobalt SS is the same thing.
