When you see that car really close and underneith, it looks like shotened Corvette chassis. You can tell where its base resembles.
Not bad for a all new car done in 20 months.
I am still optimistc that the weight will be closer to Miata.

i believe the tC was complete, from designing to actually mass-prducing them, within a similar timeframe. it's amazing what people can/will do when they really put their minds to it, eh?

that would be nice for GM to have a counter to the Miata. if it handles as well, i'm all over that in a few years. probably won't be able to fit scruf in it though...he's a tall mofo

Call it a "mini-me" of the Corvette's architecture.

How is this new? I've had these photos for at least a year.

my cousin is an engineer for GM and he was telling me about the turbo system they have been working for the 2007-2008 models + what other cars they are working on.
Will be pretty interesting when / if the system does come out.

I agree with you on that, matt.

A bit small for my taste, but would be a fun car.

I dont think so. Totally different inside, different engine, as far as the chassis, not sure, but i dont think so, its from a European model they have

He's right. It's a modified version of the European Toyota Avensis (which is a 4 door car). It shares the 2.4L engine with the Toyota Camry. Not really a high revving engine by any means. It's got a similar powerband to the Z24's. Lots of torque and not a ton of power way up at redline like Hondas. That came be overcome, ofcourse.
