Depending on the driver of course, mid to high 14's. The best stock run I've seen has been a 14.2

^^^ Ya your right about companies not being able to drive the car the same way we do. They actually have professionals who are trained to do that kind of stuff

Then why are average every day drivers pullling better times than these "profesional" drivers?

It takes a while to get to know a car. You cant just hop in and hit the 1/4 track like these magazines do....and thats the probelm. The people who have owned these cars for months can drive them far better than anybody jumping in them for the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd time.

Very good point.

It definitely takes a while to learn a car, especially launch techniques and shift points.

The magazine testers only get the car for a short period of time, and they have to try and run the best numbers possible in that short period. Some cars are of course easier to drive than others, and considering that I think the Cobalt SS S/C takes some time to master

Wow you are almost as immature as Borsty. I made a simple post (not involving you)and you respond with a personal attack. You obviously have some serious problems

And as jkhd03cav said, you are a fine one to talk about crappy cars when you drive a 14 year old DSM
